1.  In your opinion, what was the purpose of this blogging activity? (Why did I choose to do blogging instead of more traditional writing activities?)

Well, in my opinion, I thought that blogging was a lot easier then just writing. I think that because when people are typing essays or their assigned work on the computer, they really get into their work and tend to write a lot more in details then they do on paper. I also liked blogging, because I got to choose a topic that I love to talk about and I was able to write a lot about, and I had the opportunity to write as much as I wanted, but of course there was a limit for how many words were needed to be written. Also in class, we had a discussion about freedom of speech, which was something everyone had a privilege of doing to their own blogs. In conclusion to that, I prefer doing my writing activities on the computer than write, because for some reason I think writing on the computer is a lot more entertaining for me than writing on paper.

2.  What have you accomplished during your blogging?
I had a lot of accomplishments this quarter, with my blog I was able to update on the latest news, put up links to videos and give out sites so you can get the information as detailed as possible and any other information people would be interested in reading in. So these accomplishments definitely helped by blog to be interesting and to have fun writing, and for the reader to enjoy reading.

3.  What key concepts have you learned while blogging? (This can be about writing, research or technology etc.)
Well with blogging, I accomplished stuff relating to school and computer. As we did blogging we were taught some new stuff with grammar, as we learned these lessons, I tried using them in my blogs, just testing them and see how I do that, and of course will the result of that will appear in my grade. So the one thing I achieved with blogs was education. For technology there were lots of I didn’t not know what to do at all on the blogs site, but as I tested around with the tools and applications, my life was a lot easier when writing my blogs. That way I archived learning how to add videos, pictures and other interesting stuff, and that made my blog also very unique so that way many visitors came and read my blog.
4. Based on the skills you learned while blogging, how will this benefit you in the future? This maybe inside or outside of school.
This blog could help me a lot during the future, with school, college, job and many other things that could me successful during my life. Blogging is like another diary except you don’t have to post your personal information; you can post anything you want. It will benefit me in a lot of ways like I mentioned before college, and since I’m very interested in photography and editing pictures so through blogging I can upload my pictures and get comments and be able to edit other people’s photos. So in the future blogging could be something that could make my life easier.

Week of May 24th

Hello there, this week many new things have happened, especially on Friday the 22nd in the Doha at the Intercontential Hotel. More and more news will be coming up, but as usual I’ll be updating you on the top movies and songs and other news that has been going around the world that maybe you haven’t heard of.  So you readers just lean in the back of your chairs and read the news and gossip of this week and be prepared to be inspired!!

For quite a while the most popular show on television was American Idol, with all its singers that everyone loved to vote for their favorite singers. Well to be honest, season 8 was one of the most intense seasons after the season with both David’s. This season the two main finalists were Adam Lambert and Kris Allen. The judges were challenged and both very inspired by both of the contestants and the choice was very hard to make, but the choice was also made based on the audience’s choice. This season’s winner was Kris Allen, in my opinion I thought that Kris deserved to win even though both contestants were very talented and both had amazing voices and seemed to have a dream of singing, but I enjoyed Kris more the Adam. Well then I am very excited for the next season.

This week one of the top movie sellers is the all time comedy movie, Mall Cop. This movie is a mall security cop who gets into all sorts of funny trouble and tries to save the mall, but all these distractions are all around him that keep him from doing the importance of is job. I think this is an interesting and a comedy movie everyone should watch, I for one would be very interested in watching this movie.

Now lets get in depth, and go into news with Qatar. As I mentioned before, there was a very special event hosted by the Intercontential Hotel. It was the famous singer, Akon!! Wow, what a concert it was over thousands of people had attended this concert and had the time of their lives. 2 hours of D.J music, and after entered the amazing singer and had rocked out the night. If you missed it than its alright, there will be other opportunities coming up soon in Doha, Qatar.

One of the latest news is that the star Vanessa Anne Hudgens is in a new movie called Bandslam, which will be release in the summer 2009, August 14^th, and acting with her other stars like Aly Michkala, Scott Porter, and Lisa Kudrow. In the next blog, I will give you details about what this new exciting movie is all about.

Week of May 16th ;)

Every week, every post I put it up is based on news that a few people find very interesting and love to talk about. So every post I publish I talk about what other people have to say to the world. But as we talked about before, every person has a right of freedom of speech, and in this week’s blog I’m going talk about what I have to say, who are my favorite celebrities and update on all the stuff I update during my free-time. Just for your information I’m going talk about topics that are positive toward me not negative, and I’m not just doing this to make you feel bad. I just want to update about this cause this is stuff I really pay attention to in my daily life and the one thing I can actually talk about. So I’m going to talk about my all-time favorite celebrity Zac Efron, my favorite soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo, my favorite show Boy Meets World, and just update you on the soccer scores and the top Television Shows of the week.

Zac Efron, born on October 18, 1987, is an American actor and singer, and had started his acting career at the age of 11. He very well known for his role in the series of movies, High School Musical, and acting in the famous show Summerland, and a role in the famous musical, Hairspray. Zac is from the state of California, and has a younger brother called Dylan Efron, but unfortuantly his brother had no interest in acting unlike his brother Zac. As a young child was convinced by his father to start acting, he had joined many of his school playes such as Peterpan, Gyspy and many other plays. As Zac got older he had been accepted into the University of Southern California. In my opinion I think he’s my favorite because he’s very talented at singing and acting and he because of his acting’s he encourages me to act and sing more.
Cristiano Ronaldo is known as a professional football/soccer player, born on February 5, 1985. He is a Portuguese footballer plays as a winger for English Premier League club Manchester United and the Portuguese national team. Ronaldo has been playing for Manchester United since 2003 and has been playing since then. Also as a member of Manchester he has scored 84 goals in his career. Ronaldo was also nominated as one of the best football/soccer player in the entire world, and participated in many soccer leagues such as Priemer League, Champions League, FA Cup, World Cup, Fifa Cup, and the Europe Cup. He is my favorite football/soccer player and because I also support Manchester United.
To be honest with you I have no update on soccer right now all I know is that you can watch the finals for the champion’s league very soon. The date for the finals is posted on the pervious blog. But also the champions for the Barclays Premier Leauge is Manchester United. So next week I’ll type more gossip next week and trust me there will be a lot of stuff you would love to hear about.

Week of May 10th ;)

This week many new and exciting things have happened, all recent news about sports, television, music, the most up-to-date stories, and the hottest gossip. Most of these recent news take place in many different parts of the world.

This week’s latest movie release is X-Men Origins: Wolverine, also one of the latest films that’s hit theaters. Starting with our Australian superstar, Hugh Jackman, as the Logan/Wolverine, as you scroll down the page you will find a video from “Youtube”, and the video will play the trailer for the movie “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”.

Another top movie for this month is “17 Again”, staring Zac Efron and Matthew Perry. In 1989, Michael O’Donnell was the star basketball player in his high school and had earned a full college scholarship. During his championship game he finds out his girlfriend Scarlett was pregnant, he gives up on everything (basketball and the scholarship) and proposes to her. Twenty years later Mike (Matthew Perry) is not getting along at all with his family, his wife has kicked him and he has to move in with his annoying, geeky, rich friend, and his business isn’t going anywhere. His kids want nothing to do with him. One day he takes a little visit to his old high school and admiring the building and remembering the life he had thrown away. On the way he home he all of a sudden becomes 17 Again. Teenager Mike (Zac Efron) has to go to high school again and go through all the trouble, will he survive?

Americans Idol’s winner, David Cook, had preformed a concert and during the performance it was very hard for him to forget his dear brother, Adam, who had passed away May 2 because of cancer. According to People.com, they said during the performance, and sang the Eagle’s song Hotel California, and as he finished the song he said, “Adam would be proud”. Here’s a sad story you don’t hear everyday. We all hope David gets over this misery soon.

Now to update you on some the soccer scores. The main worldwide leagues that are going on right now are the “Champions League” and the “Premier League”. The champions league had a semi-finals were Manchester United V. Arsenal, Manchester U. had won 4-1 against Arsenal so their going to the finals, another semi-final game was Barcelona V. Chelsea, they were tied up. In conclusion to that the finals are between Manchester United and Barcelona, this will be a tough and furious game, which will be played on the 27^th of May. For the Premier league, many scores were updated; Manchester United 2-0 Manchester City, West Ham United 0-3 Liverpool, Blackburn Rovers 2-0 Portsmouth, Bolton Wanderers 0-0 Sunderland, Everton 0-0 Tottenham Hotspur,West Bromwich Albion 3-1 Wigan Athletic, Hull City 1-2 Stoke City, Fulham 3-1 Aston Villa

Week of May 3 ;)

Top Movies this week in theater’s is the new Walt Disney movie “Hannah Montana: The Movie”, staring Miley Cyrus and Bill Ray Cyrus. Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana is so busy with her music career, while filming her music video of Best of Both Worlds, she took a break and a magazine journalist was spying on her and over hears the she has a secret., and demands to find out what it is. Miley has to buy a birthday present for her best Lily, so she goes to the shoe store and runs into Tyra Banks and has a shoe fight, but at the same time Miley is late for Lily’s party and saying goodbye to her brother Jackson before departing to college. As Miley heads off to the party the journalist person is stalking her so she is forced to go in the party as Hannah Montana. The next day her father finds out about what happened at the shoe store and is abounding Miley from going to the music awards in New York and instead goes to her grandma’s party, but her father tricks her and instead of going to New York and she ends up going to the farming and Non-Californian life in Tennessee. Will she survive?
World Wide Top Movie: Titanic
Titanic is a romantic, tragedy, and dramatic movie, staring Leonardo De Caprio. It’s about two lovers who were brought to the same ship called Titanic, which was the first hand-made ship. During this trip Jack and Rose meet, become friends and fall in love, and so many wonderful things happen on this ship. On the 5th day of the travel, the ship had unfortunately hit an enormous ice berg, which had caused a lot of damage to the ship, and in conclusion the ship was sinking very dramatically, and over 1.000 people had passed away and not many had survived. The two lovers were not separated while escaping, but they had survived until the fact they were floating in the water. Sadly Jack and had passed away and Rose had survived.

How Does Freedom of Speech Relate to Me as a Blogger?

In my opinion, freedom of speech has its ups and downs, everyone has the right to say what they think should be said. If they want to say something positive, then sure they can say it and if people disagree then I think its their problem. But on the other hand if its something negative, the person should probably say it in a respectful and appropriate way.

In my opinion I think people should be able to say what they want because people should hear other people’s voices, someone might be able to make a difference, or agree with someone’s opinion and be able to support them.

Freedom of speech is expressed in many ways, through the internet with videos blogs and wikis, T.V commercials or advertisements, or thorough music, movies or documentaries. Freedom of speech is a right everyone has, and should make good use of it and to be able to use it and not be afraid to use it.

Everyone out there would love to here what other people would say as an individual. This whole topic is related to me, as a blogger I have the right to say what I wish to say, but in mind I keep the fact that I should be very secure and aware of my information, and in conclusion to that none of the information is offending or hurtful to other people. If I were to say something negative I would keep it very respectfully and not so mean.
